A spray foam survey is a roof-space inspection that records what foam has been applied under the covering and how the timber beneath is faring.
The inspector goes up into the loft, notes the foam type, depth and spread, takes moisture readings on the rafters within reach and photographs everything visible.
A written report with the findings, a list of anything that stayed out of sight and a plain recommendation. It can be forwarded as it is to a lender, buyer, conveyancer or builder.
Before listing a house, as soon as a valuer or surveyor mentions foam, when you spot staining or a musty smell in the loft, or before panels or a loft room go in.
