Foam type, coverage and rafter condition for Salford houses.
£195 fixed, confirmed before we visit. · Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat by arrangement
Our inspector enters the roof void, works out whether the foam is open-cell or closed-cell and measures its depth at several points. Moisture readings go on the reachable timber, and any staining is photographed. The next day a written report arrives listing what we found, what we could not reach and what we suggest.
The inspector moves across the void on boards, torch in hand, looking at how the foam meets the tiles or slates, the battens and the rafters. Type and depth are recorded along each slope, and a photograph is taken at every stage so you can follow what we saw.
An ordinary house takes an hour or two. Narrow terrace voids and roofs divided by party walls take longer. We ask about the layout when you ring and give you a realistic window, so the fee we quote is the fee you pay.
A PDF arrives the next day: a short summary, then foam type, thickness and coverage, with moisture readings next to their photographs. A separate list covers anything we could not inspect, and the last page explains leaving, monitoring or removing the foam in plain language.
